Expert Language Services

My name is John Knox and I’m a freelance translator, editor and copywriter. I’ve been based in Zurich since 1999 and I offer the following language combinations for translation: French, German and Italian into English (my native language), and English into German. My editing and copywriting work is in English.

This site contains details of the services I offer, including work samples and client references. I mainly work with companies in Switzerland and Germany, including consulting firms, financial institutions, insurers, reinsurers and government departments.

As an independent service provider, I value close relationships with my clients. That means understanding their business and knowing their target readership, so I can deliver work that reflects the company’s identity. I also maintain rapid communication and work with clients through bottlenecks, so it feels like they’re working with an in-house department.

Furthermore, I cooperate with other freelancers on large projects and for quality assurance. They are a small group of professionals I have known for years and we are experienced in structuring our cooperation to ensure maximum benefit for the client.
